  • Anti aging nutrition—an anti aging diet focuses on whole foods.  An organic diet is the most effective.  A diet high in fiber, low in fat, and low in processed foods and chemicals will give you the best results.  Anti aging nutrition requires that you eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and lean meats. 

 

  • Calorie restriction—research has shown that eating fewer calories than are required for maintenance has a very powerful anti aging effect. 

 

  • Exercise—when it comes to some secret to longevity, it’s really not a secret.  The best anti aging strategy around is exercise.  People who exercise regularly not only live longer, they live happier and healthier.

 

  • Detoxification—living in our society builds up toxins in the body.  Our diets, the air we breathe, the clothes we wear, the chemicals we use, the electromagnetic waves around us—these all fill us with toxins.  Practicing regular detoxification removes those toxins that hasten aging.  Detoxification is a very effective anti aging self help technique.

 

  • Meditation—stress will age you faster than pretty much anything.  Raise your stress threshold, and you’ll slow the aging process.  Meditation raises the stress threshold (in other words, you don’t get stressed as easily).

 

If you make these five anti aging self care practices part of your daily life, you’ll be in control of your longevity.  Anti aging is in your hands when you practice anti aging self care.
